Drama, drama. I’m looking at you “Fiji”.

July 19th, 2008

Ahhh Microsoft Codename “Fiji”.  You have been most awaited, most revered, and lately a most unwarranted pain in the ass.  What are you anyway?  No one really knows.  “Fiji” was supposed to be this rather large update of Windows Media Center before the launch of Windows 7.

However, the latest release “Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008″ does not appear to be “Fiji”.  I could be totally wrong.  The TV Pack seems to be some behind closed doors commercial update.  “Fiji” was about UI updates, extenders, and special new features; certainly not just QAM, HD recording, and teletext.

“Fiji” show yourself and show us what we’ve waited for.

Just got my first quad this weekend.  We went late night riding yesterday along the flooded river.  The 400 chugged through a lot of muck. Awesome.

ISP’s Inhibiting American Growth

February 20th, 2008

“The Internet marketplace remains fundamentally healthy, and the purported ‘cure’ could only make it sick,” AT&T’s filing declared. “At best, the network-management restrictions proposed by Free Press and others would inflict wasteful costs on broadband providers in the form of expensive and needless capacity upgrades—costs that would ultimately be passed through to end users, raise broadband prices across the board, and force ordinary broadband consumers to subsidize the bandwidth-hogging activities of a few.”

 Pfft.

The Internet Should Be Free

January 19th, 2008

Or maybe not. Maybe the best thing would be for American corporations to do everything feasible to inhibit and hinder the advance of our society. Take for instance Comcast, effectively throttling the usage of customers when they feel necessary. Or Time Warner, using a pay-per-usage model.

Why don’t we just stop society from advancing because we would rather be rich. NO. Lets move forward, lets get broadband to the masses and then turbo charge it.  Every other country in the world has gotten this to work, why can’t America. The internet isn’t a commodity anymore, its a neccessity.

World vs. USA

November 23rd, 2007

Why is that every country in the world hates Americans and the only reason why is because they think we are fat and stupid?

Unfortunately, the fat-inducing, vomit-tasting, money-mongering, worthless, american, conglomerate company known as McDonalds; has been in America since 1940.  It made its way across the pond in 1974 and over to Japan in 1997.  I have no doubt that the presence of McD in those countries will have an effect on their wastelines as well.
